Twenty years of interior design and space planning.

Séverine Bonmartin began her career with the most prestigious practice in Saint-Tropez, before setting out on her own and founding her studio. Twenty years of experience and many completed projects — villas, wine cellars, hotels, cafés and restaurants — mainly around the Gulf of Saint-Tropez.

Every place calls for its own answer. An old bastide is not approached like a new build, nor a village restaurant like a villa facing the sea. The work always begins with listening: to the site, the light, the orientation, and to the way those who will live there wish to do so.

Each project is followed from design to handover: drawings, volumes, light, materials, furniture, coordination of craftsmen. A restrained, precise language, at the service of the place and of those who live in it.

Beyond interiors, the studio takes on the drawings, the design of volumes, planning applications, as well as project management and coordination of the works.

For projects requiring planning permission, the studio works in close collaboration with the architect James Johanny-Beaupère, a close partner with whom each project is shaped side by side. The studio also brings in and coordinates engineering consultants and landscape designers as needed, so that every application is handled properly, from permit to completion.

Much of what furnishes a project is drawn to measure: light fittings, rugs, furniture. A pendant conceived for the exact height of a room, a rug whose pattern answers the floor, a banquette built to the dimensions of a wall — pieces that exist only for the place they were made for.

Materials are chosen to age well: stone, solid wood, lime plaster, patinated metal. They sit naturally in the Provençal landscape and gain character over time rather than wearing out.

The studio works with a network of local craftsmen, loyal from one site to the next — masons, joiners, ironworkers, upholsterers. This closeness allows for bespoke work, hands-on site supervision and agreed deadlines that are met.

Commercial projects bring their own constraints: regulations, service flow, and works to be carried out off-season within firm deadlines.
